This is the first time that I have ever worn a blazer in the office as I usually waltz in wearing leggings and a tunic. Today however, I wanted to look and feel a bit smarter than usual. This is a head to toe "Simply Be" outfit. I do usually mix up my brands but "Simply Be" have really got me hooked up at the moment and I am starting to look like a walking "Simply Be" catalogue!
The blazer is the "Edge to Edge Jacket" priced at just £30. I can't believe how much of a bargain this is. I have wanted to invest in a blazer for a long time but every single one I had come across were in excess of £50 which I find a little too much to fork out on an occasional jacket. £30 though to me, is a steal! Another reason why I decided to buy this item is the fact that it doesn't have buttons which I don't particularly like.
The jeans however are a splurge item. They are the "Chloe Super Stretch Skinny Damson Jeans, L30in" and cost £40. I think they are worth every penny as they feel like a second skin. The only downside I can think of, if you can call it that, is that I had to size up to a 28. I'm clearly NOT a size 28 but size is just a number and you can always cut out the label! The fact that they are skinny jeans and all that jazz I would suggest sizing up if you larger in the belly area or apple shaped like myself.
The "Spot Print Ruffle Tunic" is the most flattering tunic I own. You wouldn't be able to tell from the picture but it's actually made from a lovely soft jersey material that you can just pull on over your head. The ruffle detail just hides every lump and bump on your stomach area. Priced at £47 it is more than I would normally spend on a sleeveless tunic, however the quality wins me over... also the fact that it is so darn flattering.
All in all, I am very happy with this outfit. I feel comfortable in the clothes themselves and also the fact that they hide some of my insecurities quite well.
Have you bought any of these items?
